Of French origin and dating from circa 1950s, this round garden table is constructed from cream painted metal with a finely worked radial wire top, looping scrollwork apron, arched supports and a lower circular shelf. The radial top and secondary shelf make it unusually complete in detail, with decorative work continuing through every visible plane rather than stopping at the apron. Despite the density of its wirework, the pale finish and open construction keep the table visually light, bringing an elegant garden room atmosphere to a courtyard, terrace or interior setting.
