Four French Wrought Iron Chairs with Glass Dining Table
Four French Wrought Iron Chairs with Glass Dining Table
Four early to mid twentieth century wrought iron chairs in the French tradition, paired with a vintage clear glass dining table with an S shaped pedestal and bevelled rectangular top.
Long curved uprights, repeated semicircular backrest motifs and sweeping legs give the chairs a strong, open silhouette. Remnants of powder blue paint sit beneath layers of oxidation and tonal variation, with each frame retaining its individually aged surface. The clear glass table allows those lines to remain visible, its flowing pedestal echoing the curves of the ironwork.
The two metre tabletop gives the setting generous dining scale while keeping its visual footprint open. Weathered metal brings texture and warmth against the clarity of the glass. Equally at home indoors or in an undercover outdoor setting, the combination is particularly suited to an atrium, covered patio or sheltered verandah.
Measures:
Table 200cm W x 110cm D x 74cm H
Chairs 43cm W x 53cm D x 91.5cm H (Seat 42.5cm H)
Price is for the complete five piece setting comprising one table and four chairs.
Conditioned for presence and atmosphere with age appropriate wear expected of vintage pieces. The chairs retain extensive surface oxidation, worn paint and variation in finish across the four frames. The table has a chip to one corner of the glass pedestal, shown in the detail photograph, and a smaller chip along one edge of the tabletop. Other surface wear consistent with age and use.
