Produced in Italy in the late twentieth century, this dining setting pairs a tubular steel table base with a smoked glass top in a softened rectangular form with rounded ends, reflecting the period’s shift toward lighter, more open dining structures. The black metal frame uses continuous bent tube construction with curved supports, aligning with the legacy of cantilevered seating and the enduring influence of Marcel Breuer’s Cesca design language. The four accompanying chairs feature woven rattan seats and backs within black frames, three Italian made and one Australian made example matched into the set, maintaining visual continuity across the grouping.
