Postmodern Dining Chair Attributed to Kartell Mademoiselle | Brown Technical Upholstery
A compact, assured chair that carries authority through proportion and restraint.
Attributed to the Kartell Mademoiselle design language associated with Philippe Starck, this chair reflects early twenty first century Italian postmodern thinking, defined by a continuous upholstered shell and disciplined, architectural geometry. The upholstery is a high performance brown technical synthetic, extremely thin yet unusually durable and elastic, engineered to flex under load without tearing and to resist abrasion in active use. Its surface has taken on a leather like character through handling rather than breakdown, while the black structural frame follows the original silhouette closely, albeit with construction details that place it outside factory Kartell production. The result is a serious, well executed interpretation suited to dining, studio, or desk settings where durability and presence matter as much as form.
