Four 1980s Arcadia Armchairs Attributed to Paolo Piva
Four 1980s Arcadia Armchairs Attributed to Paolo Piva
Attributed to Paolo Piva and aligned with his Arcadia design, these armchairs pair polished tubular chrome frames with black leather seats and cylindrical leather backrests. The exceptional quality is evident in the weight and finish of the chrome, the precision of the square lower frames and the sweeping circular arms that carry each backrest across a suspended horizontal rail. Finding two matching examples with this level of construction is uncommon. Severe rectilinear geometry below and controlled curves above give the chairs a distinctly Italian postmodern presence that remains visually light despite their substantial build.
