Vintage Postmodern Tubular Steel Dining Chairs
Vintage Postmodern Tubular Steel Dining Chairs
Vintage postmodern dining chairs dating to the late 1990s or early 2000s, with heavy tubular steel frames, circular steel seat plates and curved rail backs. The three leg construction and single rear upright give the chairs a distinctive graphic silhouette, with the broad arc of the back contrasting against the compact circular seat.
Previously used in a restaurant at Manly Wharf, the chairs retain their substantial steel construction. The upholstered seat pads have been removed, leaving solid steel plates with existing fixing holes ready for replacement pads to be bolted on. Offered for refurbishment, the group provides a consistent run of sculptural seating that can be repainted and upholstered to suit a new interior.
The black painted finish has extensive scratches, chips and wear, with areas of exposed metal and surface oxidation. Repainting and replacement seat pads are required. Supplied as photographed, without upholstered pads.
