Produced in Central Europe at the turn of the twentieth century, the chair belongs to the Viennese bentwood tradition established by Thonet and contemporaries, where steam bent beech enabled continuous curves and structural efficiency. The single loop back, inner rail, solid timber seat, and circular stretcher form a coherent system designed for repetition across café interiors, supporting movement, density, and daily use.
