Wings spread and weight centred, this eagle holds a moment of poised strength in solid cast bronze.
Cast in the mid twentieth century, the sculpture carries a rich, time worn surface with the natural green oxidisation that settles only on authentic bronze. Feather work and branch detail are cut with precision, each line shaped to heighten the sense of tension through the body. The broad span and grounded posture echo the period’s preference for expressive realism in metalwork.
It carries a quiet force held in the weight and quiet of cast bronze.
