Artedi became known during the 1970s for combining natural stone, glass and metal into sculptural furniture that balanced architectural restraint with luxurious materials. This example pairs a solid travertine pedestal with brass supports beneath a circular glass top, creating the clean geometric language that defined much of Italian modern design from the period. Pieces of this calibre are becoming increasingly difficult to source as original Artedi examples are absorbed into long term collections. It holds a room without demanding it, bringing weight, light and proportion into quiet balance.
