Manufactured by Fasem in Italy circa 1980, these cantilever dining chairs draw on Mart Stam's pioneering Bauhaus designs of the late 1920s. Chrome plated tubular steel and suspended black leather create the visual lightness and structural clarity that defined modernist furniture, while Fasem's quality of manufacture and leatherwork give these examples an enduring architectural presence. Finding four together is increasingly uncommon, and once separated they are rarely reunited as a matching set.
