A circa 1960s rattan bookcase in the style of Danny Ho Fong for Tropi Cal, distinguished by its tall arched silhouette, intricate open weave and warm honey toned finish. Closely wrapped cane outlines the sweeping arch and vertical frame, while woven panels continue across the sides, shelves and lower cabinet doors.

The striking architectural profile balances the lightness of open shelving with the solidity of a two door cupboard below. Two middle shelves are removable to accommodate taller books, ceramics or larger decorative objects, allowing the piece to adapt to a changing display. Its narrow footprint and remarkable height make it equally compelling in a living room, study or entrance.
