Power and craft from another century.
Carved in Bavaria for a castle in the 1800s, this walnut griffin once supported a substantial dining table. Half eagle, half lion, the guardian figure served both a symbolic role and a structural one. Enriched by time the handcut timber has a deep burnished tone, built to carry weight and meaning.
Shaped from myth, wings swept, carved feathers, acanthus scroll in clutched talons, an ancestral protector steeped in legend.
