A substantial early brass stockpot with a broad cylindrical body, riveted side handles and matching lid. Its burnished metal and rich surface variation give this functional form the weight and presence of an unusual decorative object.

The visible seams, abrasion and oxidised patina speak to the vessel's history of use. Displayed on a kitchen shelf, console or plinth, the design reads as a quiet study in material and utility.
