Late 1980s leather club chairs with a distinctive shell back profile, fully upholstered in a soft blush beige leather. The sweeping fan stitched backrest and concealed base create a more sculptural silhouette than most office or meeting chairs of the period, sitting somewhere between executive seating and residential postmodern design. Mounted on castors and generously proportioned, they were designed for movement and comfort without sacrificing visual presence. These tend to make the most sense in interiors where every seating piece has been chosen individually rather than purchased as part of a matching suite. The warm neutral leather and softened curves bring a quieter, more residential character than the sharper commercial furniture that emerged through the 1990s. Equally comfortable around a meeting table, in a dressing room, library or apartment living space.
