Late 20th Century British Colonial Revival Plantation Chair with Ottoman
Late 20th Century British Colonial Revival Plantation Chair with Ottoman
A late 20th century British Colonial Revival plantation lounge chair with matching ottoman, defined by its sweeping timber frame, generous scrolling arms and dark woven cane panels. The low reclined silhouette brings an expressive, almost architectural quality to a traditional lounging form.
The arms curl into pronounced scrolls before flowing into the deeply curved backrest. Beneath, broad arched legs support the chair, with the same distinctive arches repeated in the matching ottoman. The continuity of these shapes gives the pair its striking visual presence from every angle.
Warm variations in the timber finish contrast with the dark, finely textured woven surfaces. The separate ottoman extends the generous reclining profile, creating an inviting place to unwind while allowing the elaborate curves and grain of the timber to remain fully visible.
Sold together as one plantation chair and its matching ottoman. The advertised price is for both pieces.
