A compact, grounded seat with the weight and restraint of a small rural chapel, shaped to sit quietly and hold space rather than announce itself.
Constructed from thick slab pine using pegged joinery, this pew chair reflects vernacular church furniture traditions found in bush parishes and regional halls, built for durability, repetition, and long service rather than ornament. The softened edges, visible knots, and aged timber surface speak to decades of use and handling, returning a sense of humility and steadiness that carries naturally into domestic, studio, or contemplative settings.
