The suite comprises two carver chairs with arms and eight dining chairs without arms, all finished in pale cream leather over slender steel frames. Leather wraps the legs, seats and backs, giving the structural elements the same soft, tactile surface as the seating.

The design is remarkably restrained. Slightly curved backs rise from flat seats, while the fine, angled legs give the chairs a light architectural profile. On the two carvers, continuous leather covered arms form a flowing outline around the seat. The subtle flexibility of the seating and the soft leather make them particularly comfortable for extended dining.

The original Poltrona Frau branding is visible beneath the seats. The leather has developed a warm, uneven patina with age, giving the chairs a depth and character that contrasts with their precise Italian modernist geometry.

Sold exclusively as a complete set of ten, comprising two carver chairs and eight dining chairs. The advertised price is for all ten chairs together.

Measures: 50cm W x 40cm D x 78cm H (Seat 45cm H)

Thoroughly cleaned and conditioned for presence and atmosphere. The original leather shows age appropriate wear, including small marks, stains, rubbing and variations in colour and patina throughout. These are visible signs of use and part of the character of the set.

View our pieces by appointment at Artarmon and Camperdown.

Collection by arrangement.
