Manufactured by Paillard in Switzerland, the Hermes Baby became one of the most respected portable typewriters of the twentieth century, prized for its compact engineering, smooth action and enduring reliability. Finished in its original chocolate brown housing with contrasting light grey keys and complete with the matching carry case, it remains an instantly recognisable example of late modernist industrial design. Machines this complete are becoming increasingly difficult to source, particularly with their original case intact.
