Dating to the 1960s, these matching pool chairs combine moulded fibreglass arm shells with flared pedestal bases in two subtly different shades of pale aqua. Visible fibreglass strands across the undersides preserve evidence of their period construction, while the abbreviated backs, rising central peaks and continuous wraparound arms reflect the emerging Space Age design language of the era. Two examples of this uncommon short backed pedestal form rarely remain together, giving them particular presence together beside a pool, beneath a covered terrace or within a contemporary interior.
