Two Circa 1970s Bauhaus Style Chrome and Black Leather Cantilever Armchairs
Two Circa 1970s Bauhaus Style Chrome and Black Leather Cantilever Armchairs
Two circa 1970s Bauhaus style cantilever armchairs combining polished tubular chrome frames with black leather upholstery. Drawing on the modernist furniture traditions established during the Bauhaus period, the chairs feature continuous geometric frames, elegantly rounded armrests and suspended leather seating.
The cantilever construction creates an open architectural profile, with the chrome tubing flowing from the rectangular floor supports into the arms and backrest. Black leather seats, backs and armrest pads provide a refined contrast to the polished metal, giving the chairs a distinctive balance of industrial precision and understated luxury. Equally suited to a dining setting, executive office or contemporary interior.
Measures: 60cm W x 50cm D x 81cm H (Seat 47cm H)

Conditioned for presence and atmosphere with age appropriate wear expected of a vintage piece. The chrome frames retain an exceptionally bright, well preserved finish. Black leather upholstery remains in very good vintage condition, with minor creasing and surface wear consistent with age and regular use.
