Upper Lips Chair and Ottoman | Piergiorgio Cazzaniga
Upper Lips Chair and Ottoman | Piergiorgio Cazzaniga
A low, suspended posture that holds the body just above the floor.
Designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga and manufactured in Italy by Dema, the Upper Lips chair belongs to a late postmodern period where Italian seating explored engineered comfort through shell construction rather than padding alone. A curved zebrano wood frame carries the leather seat and back as a single continuous surface, the grain left exposed along the edge to emphasise structure rather than conceal it. The chair rests on a brushed stainless steel four spoke pedestal base, paired with a matching ottoman built to the same logic and proportions. The result is a composed lounge set with physical presence, designed to be used daily without visual excess.
Measures: Chair 93 cm W × 75 cm D × 85 cm H (Seat 33 cm H) | Ottoman proportions matched to chair
