Produced in the late twentieth century and inspired by the sculptural glass work of Danny Lane, an American designer known for his exploration of stacked and laminated glass, this table centres on a double helix base formed from layered, precision-cut panels. Each segment is arranged to create both structural integrity and a shifting visual effect, where light moves through the form and reveals the construction from different angles. The circular glass top introduces balance against the vertical movement of the base, aligning with late modern and postmodern approaches to material and form. It holds the room as a focal point, where transparency and structure work together to define the space.
