Designed by Lindau & Lindekrantz for Lammhults, this Swedish chair is a distinctive example of 1970s modernist design, combining sculptural chrome plated tubular steel with a vivid red moulded seat. The continuous tubular frame creates a striking silhouette while delivering the strength and flexibility that made cantilever seating one of the defining innovations of twentieth century furniture. Pieces of this calibre are increasingly difficult to source, particularly in such an iconic colourway, and work equally well as a functional chair or as a standalone design object.
