Vintage Mid Century Teak Articulating Console and Convertible Table

$1,590.00

An unusual mid century teak articulating console and convertible table, combining the long horizontal profile of a narrow console with the ingenuity of a transforming double surface. Warm timber planes sit within a squared frame on small metal castors, while exposed black metal pivot arms introduce a striking mechanical contrast.

In its compact form, the two rectangular surfaces create an open, two tier console with a generous lower shelf. The articulated arms allow the lower surface to lift and move into an expanded position, creating a tabletop 76cm deep. At 126cm wide, the transformation gives the piece a substantial dining or working surface while retaining the clarity of its original frame.

The contrast between the warm teak, dark articulated hardware and strong rectangular geometry gives the piece its character. Equally compelling in its compact or expanded configuration, it can work as a console, mobile serving table or flexible occasional table.

Photographed with dining chairs to illustrate scale and use. The chairs are not included.
