A grounded, graphic presence with regional weight and lived in colour.
Executed in the Santa Fe tradition, this hand painted timber chest features stepped geometric panels, cross motifs, and a stylised roadrunner emblem drawn from Southwestern visual language. The palette and patterning reflect Pueblo and New Mexican folk influences, applied with deliberate restraint rather than decorative excess. Built as a functional storage piece, the proportions remain compact and architectural, carrying surface history without tipping into novelty.
